This week, I have been putting my critical digital literacy skills to use by searching for information about an internet safety issue.
I have been looking at The rise of AI and its impact on our future. Actually, it points out that AI trying to imitate the feelings of human beings and they discuss whether it is good or not; AI will replace humans in many fields and the hidden catastrophe it will bring soon, even in moral terms.
Generally, the word "AI" ( Artificial Intelligence) is always used to describe a machine or computer that can imitate and even "realize" a human such as making a conversation, studying, and solving problems.

The rise of AI is the increasing development, adoption, and impact of artificial intelligence technologies across various aspects of society; began around 1950 until now and even in the future. It began with the Turing test - the AI was feigned to become a 13-year-old boy to pass this test, and this is an important mark for the age of AI. Then, as we can see AI is contributing to almost all aspects of humanity currently such as transport, health care, education, entertainment, ...
The impact of AI on our future can bring both sides negatively and positively as well. As the quote in the article I took for my blog: "Even so, the development of computers continues apace – with ‘expert systems’ and robots predicted to displace humans in a variety of occupations ranging from the legal profession to taxi drivers and miners." this is the positive face we need to admit. Besides that, it brings a lot of drawbacks too such as unemployment issues, the existence of humanity, and even the moral aspect, ...

The rise of AI has led to several problems we need to deal with. Firstly, this is unemployment or particularly jobless. Because of the rise of AI, it replaces too many employees in their fields. People in the world at this time may not afford essential goods such as food, clothes, or even AI to serve them. Because of the simple reason - they have no money. The governments will support them but it is just a short-term solution. This means we need to compete so intensely to achieve the job to earn money.
Secondly in terms of morals, when AI helps mankind in healthcare because they don't have any feelings like humans, so that's why they can't sympathize like us. For example, if you get cancer, they will tell you the truth and it makes your spirit doesn't wanna struggling with the diagnosis. Meanwhile, the real doctor will be a liar to tell you good things, they bring a happy vibe to you and them as well. That means the doctor can't be replaced in any situation. Similar to any field else.
Thirdly is about safety. In the future, AI can replace us in almost all fields including taxi drivers, no one can make sure AI will be running with no mistakes or errors. Just suppose, one day you get into the cab and AI is the thing controlling it, the system gets errors about technic and it makes an accident. I can't imagine that nightmarish scenario. And demonstrate it with other fields, we will get an answer.
But we can't deny the importance of AI currently such as ChatGPT, Photoshop, and Copilot, ... It brings a lot of value for us in several aspects. When we study if we wonder about something, we can type the question in ChatGPT and it'll help us find out the answer. When we take a picture and it doesn't look like we expected, we can use Photoshop to edit it as we want.
