Hoiiiii! Welcome to Julie's
As my followers already know, the name’s Julie, and I’m an international student in Australia from Vietnam. I just turned 18 recently and I just moved out from my homestay. Lately, I received many requests about reviewing a day of my life as an international student. My mum’s been around here as well so I think it’d be a nice touch to my blog as well.
Last Saturday morning, my mum just arrived here in Sydney and she’s currently with us until next weekend. Mum brought us a bunch of goods from Vietnam that me and my sister were surprised at how she could bring all 5 suitcases on her own all the way here. She’s a skilled entrepreneur that travels around the world from time to time, so we were happy that she could spend some time here with us, since we haven’t seen her for almost a year now.
When we arrived back to our place, as we were unpacking all the things mum brought from Vietnam, mum made us clean up our apartment and that took us hours to get it done haaha. Though it was tiring, since she technically recleaned everything again but hey, at least the place is spick and span now.
Later on, my sister fled to work and left me alone with mum. As she had already promised me a birthday gift, she took me out to buy me an electric guitar! It’s a Tele Butterscotch Squier with a nice Frontman Fender amplifier. Though I have other guitars, the fact that mum bought me a brand new electric guitar made me feel like the luckiest person on Earth :D. My birthday has already passed a week ago, still, she remembered it and even brought me a cake later at the bakery.
In the evening, we went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients to make Vietnamese Northern spring rolls. Me and my sister had been craving for it so me and mum decided to make a hundred of them! It took us 3 hours to finish everything, plus we even made some pork floss to eat for the next month haha. By the time we finished cooking, my sister got back and we had dinner together. Look at how much we’ve made here lolll
Soooooo yeaa, that’s the best day that had happened since I moved here as an international student. I love you mum, though we have our ups and downs. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to discover ourselves and to broaden our minds abroad, and thank you for spending time here with us. It means a lot for us
Anyways, thank you all for reading this dumb post of mine. Ciao! -jul
